Victorious Secret

Danny and I have been on a softball league with some of his classmates for the last few months, our team is called Victorious Secret. It has been really fun going and playing every Tuesday night, even though I haven't EVER played softball before.


It has been fun learning the rules and occasionally having a good play. Usually, if I get a hit, I just hit a grounder to about the short stop, but tonight I had a really good hit (for me). I was really proud of myself. :)

Danny plays third base and is getting really good at it. He had an amazing game tonight! It is fun watching him play and do really well.

Jaxson is such a trooper on softball nights, he sits in his stroller in his cute little team shirt and watches movies on the ipod and cheers for the team. He even heckles the other team, it's so funny. He's our little mascot.

Usually it is so FREEZING when we play our games, it was nice playing in the warm weather tonight!

Farewell Breakfast

The Golden Gate Ward had their annual farewell breakfast a week ago. This was the third one that we have gone to. This time, we were part of the group moving on. So weird.

Wow, 3 weeks left. It still hasn't set in that's it really happening.

I Wish it Didn't...

But it drives me CRAZY every time I hear people singing the primary song, "Popcorn Popping" and they sing "It wasn't really so, but it seems to me...". The words are, "It wasn't really so, but it seemed to be...".

Married to a Rock Star!

A group of the 3rd year dental students put together a band ("The Luxators"), and they had a concert tonight for all the students at the dirty martini. They asked Danny to sing a few songs for them and he ROCKED IT!


I was his groupie and biggest fan!

Some of the guys sang/rapped "Rappers Delight". They did a really good job, it was so funny!

Danny sang "Livin on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns and Roses, "Your Love" by The Outfield, and "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. He did SO SO SO good, and those are really tough songs!! It was so fun standing down in the crowd watching him having so much fun, and watching all the people dance and sing along with him. I was a VERY proud wife!

Bean Hollow State Beach

A few months ago Danny came home with a scrap of paper from a magazine. It was a list of the top 10 best unknown beaches in California. One beach was only an hour away, and he really wanted to go there sometime. We finally made it down there today and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

It was a little cove right off Highway 1. Smooth sandy beach, and great tide pooling.


We found star fish, crabs, sea cucumbers, purple sea urchins, fish, and muscles.


This one was eating a snail. Another star fish we found was eating a crab. It was really cool!


Jaxson had the time of his life running free playing in the sand.

We looked up the tide online and went at low tide so were able to walk all over the rocks that were usually under water.


Jaxson loved touching all the sea shells stuck to the rocks and searching for "bishies" (he thought the sea weed was fish).
This is by far my favorite beach we have been to around here. We hope to go back a few more times in the next 4 1/2 weeks!!

Today Was Perfect

Followed by flowers, cards, naps, steak dinner, dishes done, baby bathed and put to bed, America's Next Top Model marathon, now a movie and fresh cherries. You did good babe, real good. I love you!

P.S. Danny got me the dress I have been drooling over for months to wear to his graduation dinner. I LOVE it!

Crawfish Boil

Another yearly tradition UOP has is the annual crawfish boil (broil?). They get 300 pounds of crawfish and boil them up with some potatoes and corn. It makes for a yummy lunch!





Danny spent a really long time cracking and peeling so that I wouldn't have to touch them. They grossed me out pretty bad.


Nate wasn't afraid though, he was ready to bite into that bad boy, shell and all!


Our friends dog, Rocco (and Jaxson's favorite puppy in the world), got in on the action too.

This is one other event that reminds us the school year is coming to a close. It is sure creeping up on us quickly!
