Matt and Amy in SF

My BFF Amy and her hubby finally came to visit us! We had so much fun and tried to pack as much as we could into the 4 days they were here.

We went and played at Baker Beach,


went to Lands End,


showed them the best view of the city at Twin Peaks,


made a quick stop by Alamo Square,



and spent some time at the Palace of Fine Arts.



We went to Ghirardelli,


got doughnuts from the 24 hour doughnut shop,


had a interesting shopping experience in China Town,


and had fun shopping and watching the street performers at Union Square.



One of my favorite things that we did was go to the Oakland temple. It was so fun going, and extra special for Matt since his parents were married there.


We ate LOTS of yummy food too. This is Jax at BJ's. He sat in a booster for the first time, but it didn't do much good when he realized he could stand up while strapped in. He didn't know quite what to do though when the seat was "guck" (stuck) to his bum.

Thanks so much Matt and Amy for coming out here! We had so much fun with you!

Hmm... Tagalongs or Samoas?

Jax had his first taste of the goodness of Girl Scout Cookies! He had a little bite of a Tagalong and looked at us like, "Do I REALLY get to eat this?!". Then when we handed him a Samoa to go along with it, there wasn't any stopping him.




Decisions, decisions. In my opinion, go with the Samoa!

A Sunny Sunday

We FINALLY got a break from all the rain! We decided to make the most of it and head down to the beach (something we should do much more often). It was pretty windy, but we'll take that over the rain for sure!




I feel really bad admitting this, but Jax hasn't played at the beach since he's been walking well. He LOVED running around in the sand, but made sure to stop and point out the birds, dogs, airplanes and water every chance he had.



We explored all the little nooks and caves in the rocks.



And the gross things stuck to the rocks.

I have to give props to Danny for this picture. Our friends met us down at the beach and Danny took this picture of their little boy, Ki, playing in the cave. Way to go, my artsy hubby.

However, Jaxson trying to take a swim in a puddle was our cue to leave. It was a fun way to spend one of our last few Sunday afternoons in this beautiful city.
