Jaxson's Pictures/Family Picture Preview

An old friend of mine, Annie, took Jaxson's 2 yr old pictures/family pictures for us last weekend. She is AMAZING. I can't wait to see all of them.

The First Snow!

I went in Jaxson's room this morning and said, "Jaxson, there is a big surprise for you outside!" He was so excited when he came down the stairs and saw SNOW!

Even though he saw snow last year, I don't think he remembered it. He looked at the snow just mesmerized for so long.

Then I taught him how the best thing to do on a snowy morning is drink hot cocoa. What a great morning!

Pumpkin Carving #2

The Pearson's were so awesome to host a little neighborhood pumpkin carving party and dinner. It was so much fun, and the food was delicious! These are 2 of Jaxson's buddies, Sophie and Ty.







Jaxson did better last night with the whole pumpkin thing. He helped me cut it, and even scooped out the seeds with a spoon. He wouldn't touch it with his hands though. I guess it was a step in the right direction.

Pumpkin Carving #1

Last night we had a fun pumpkin carving party with some friends, the Armstrongs. I wish I could say that the little hands digging away at the pumpkin in the picture above were Jaxson's. They're not. He didn't want anything to do with the whole process.

We practically had to force him to even take a peek inside.



Then we thought, once he touches it once, he'll realize it's not too bad. So we put his hand in the pumpkin for him and this is the look we got. I felt so bad.

"EEEW GROSS! Get 'da yucky off!"

We have another pumpkin carving party tonight, and we're hoping last night warmed him up to the idea and he'll do better. We'll see!

Gardner Village

Today was such a beautiful day, so some friends and I decided to get the kids out to see all the witches at Gardner Village. I haven't ever been, but have wanted to go for so long. It was fun doing the little scavenger hunt finding all the silly witches so we could get our cookie for only 25 cents! The above was an attempted picture of all the kids, yeah, didn't work so well. Some are actually missing I believe.


Although the mommy's would have loved to spend time browsing the cute little shops, we ended up spending about an hour in the petting zoo/pony ride area. This is little Ella and Jax watching the pony's. I should mention that Jax was the only boy in a crew of 7 girls today. He loved it.

Jax met a new friend, London, today. I think he has a little crush. She was a cute little girl, so I guess he has my approval.

After Jaxson got his typical one meltdown per outing out of the way and he calmed down, I sure had fun with my little guy. It is nice to finally be healing enough to get out and do things with him again!

Scarecrow Festival

I'm not the first one to mention lately that fall is the most amazing season. Everything about it is my favorite. Every year Thanksgiving Point has a huge event, and we got to go this year. The Scarecrow Festival has so many activities to do, and they are mostly centered around kids.

Among MANY other things, there was about 25 inflatable bounce houses, slides, and games.

They had games for kids of all ages. Jaxson was a little bit of a cheater on this one, instead of standing back where you were supposed to, he walked right up to the witches pot to throw the chickens in.

Making silly faces is the only way we can get Jaxson to even consider taking a picture.

The classic fishing game.

Jaxson won a little dinky airplane that of course he LOVED.

There was also farm animals, pony rides, hay rides, yummy food including Cafe Rio, caramel apples and kettle corn (Danny's favorite), and much much more. It was one of the first real fall/Halloween activities we have done and we had so much fun!

Lip Syncing Jax

Sorry if you already saw these on my Facebook, but I had to add it here too. Jaxson loves music, he also loves to try to sing along even though he doesn't know the words. Here are 2 examples. The first one is the best, but the video quality is bad. I hope it makes you laugh as hard as it makes me! The best is his scrunched up serious face.

Buds

Almost exactly 1 year ago these two munchkins met for the first time...

...and they didn't get to see each other again until just a week(or was it 2 weeks by now?) ago. I was just going through my pictures and I realized I didn't post this after I was able to see my great friend, Sarah, and her little boy, Eli. Can you believe how much they changed in 1 year?! Even though the visit was short we loved hanging out with them! We are excited to see them again in a few weeks!

"I breaky eggs"

I swear, he was only in the kitchen alone for like 45 seconds. The last one fell from his hand as Danny walked into the kitchen. 18 eggs total.

LOTS of Quality Grandma Time

I had shoulder surgery 2.5 weeks ago and I don't know what I would have done without my sweet mom. She had put everything on hold to help me in EVERY way she can. She has done all my laundry, cleaning, errands, and has even been doing my hair for me for the past few weeks.

I have LOVED all the time we have spent together. We have done some fun things, and Jaxson has handled everything pretty well because of everything she does with him.



We went to Wheeler Farm to see the animals.




She taught Jaxson how to feed the horses.

We saw and got to pet the goats which is always a favorite.

She has taken Jax swimming and let me lay in the sun to take in the last rays of summer.

One afternoon She and Jax built a haunted gingerbread house.

Grandma is so silly.

"My scary house" as Jaxson calls it.

We have spent time at her house too, where Jaxson gets to play on the motorcycles, help mow the lawn on the "tractor"(riding lawn mower), go to Maryann's to feed the chickens...

...help trim trees and carry the branches to the wood pile, and even have sleepovers!

We have even gotten to watch Lacey and Grandpa ride at the track.

And Papa came too!!!!!

Mom/Grandma, you're the best. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the time you have spent with us. We owe you big time!!!!!!
