BOWLING!!!

Ever since our first date, Danny and I have loved going bowling together. Last night we realized that Jaxson hasn't ever been! We thought he would be old enough to understand the basic idea; roll the ball, knock over the pins. Well, he liked to roll the ball , but didn't have the patience to wait for it to get to the pins. He would get distracted by all the people and want to run into their lanes to say hi. It was ok though. We still had a great time. He did, however, grasp that clapping was appropriate if all the pins did get knocked down. He spent most of the night trying to run down the lane clapping his hands.

He started making this silly face when his canines came in. He looks like a bulldog.


Bulldog Boys


Our friend Craig came with us and was very patient tying to bowl sharing a lane with a 16 month old.


Since we didn't really get to focus on bowling while Jax was included in the game, I took him aside so Danny and Craig could bowl a real game. I introduced him to one of the joys of bowling. Greasy stale bowling alley food. All in all I think it was a fun night. Jax bowled a 37 without bumpers!

We Love Visitors!

My parents, Matt, Shari and Brooklyn came to visit over the long weekend. We love having company in town and we had such a great time with them. My parents were in the LA area, and decided to come up last second, so they couldn't stay all weekend, but it was still so fun to see them for a little bit. Here are a few random moments of our time together.




One of the things my parents wanted to do was go to the marina and look at the sail boats. It was super cold and windy, but we ventured down there anyway and ended up having a great time.


Looking at this picture makes me seriously worried about Jaxson in the future. Here he is being thrown probably 10+ feet in the air and look at his face. He is smiling ear to ear loving it! We have a little thrill seeker on our hands.







We went up to Twin Peaks to show Matt and Shari the best view of the city, but the weather did cooperate. We got out of the car and almost blew away in the wind, then about 30 seconds later it felt like someone threw a bucket of water on us! The kids didn't seem to like it very much. We will have to go back again when the weather is nicer.

Co-ed bathing. It's funny to think that Jax and Brooklyn will probably be really embarrassed by this picture someday.

They sure had fun goofing off all weekend.

I Want My Money Back

We're Still Here!

My computer has been broken and I have been so sad I haven't been able to update our blog. My sweet friend, Sarah, was just in town to visit and she was so great to fix it for me. She is amazing! So...here are some of the things we have been up to!

Discovery Museum

Jax and I got to tag along with Mindi and her girls to the Discovery museum a few weeks ago. The weather was beautiful and even though we didn't get to stay long, we had a great time!

It is in such an amazing location. Pictures like this make me realize how much I will miss living in this city.

Golden Gate Fields

Our friend, Nadine, suggested we head over to Oakland and go watch the horse races and we had such a great time! I would see advertisements for the races all the time so I am so glad we went!



Other than massive amounts of second hand smoke, it was a beautiful fun day!

The last race we watched, we all chose horses (we didn't bet, just picked between our little group of friends) and Jaxson's horse won! Everyone owed Jax ice-cream.


Guitar Hero, World Tour!

Danny took his Boards this month, and as his reward for working so hard, I got him what he has been asking for for so long, Guitar Hero. This is what our front room has looked like almost every night for the past two weeks.

Tom Cruise who??

Jax has been signing more and more lately. It has been really helpful in figuring out what he wants and needs. Above is a pic of him signing, Candy, his favorite sign. The other day I got him up from his nap and took him over to his changing table to change his diaper. He hates getting his diaper changed lately so I usually try to talk to him about things he likes so that he will be distracted. It was lunch time so I started saying things like, "Are you hungry, Jax? Should we go eat?". He answered me by saying and signing "eat" (he will usually just answer me by saying the last word of the question I asked him). Then I asked "Do you want some juice?". He answered "juice". Then I said, "Okay, we will get some juice, but what do you want to eat?". He paused for a minute and I could see the gears turning in his head. He then happily said and signed, "Candy!". It was so cute! It was the first time I asked him a question and he came up with his own answer rather than copying me. He's growing up so fast!
