We're going to the zoo zoo zoo...

Yesterday Grandma Carol took Becky, Emily, Jaxson and I to the Hogle Zoo. Jaxson has always loved going to the zoo, but this time he was talking about it all morning until it was time to go. His memory is really getting good. He remembers things I tell him and bribes I offer him, reminding me of them hours or days later.

I can't even describe how beautiful the day was. It was a record breaking day reaching over 70 degrees, there was a slight breeze blowing all the colorful leaves across the ground, the trees were so colorful and the leaves were blustering in the wind letting the sun sparkle through...it was amazing.



Grandma Carol was SO helpful. She helped me keep control of Jaxson all while pushing the stroller.


The tigers are my favorite animal at the zoo and she had just had babies! They were so cute and tiny.

There was a black bear playing right by the fence.

This monkey was playing with Jaxson.

There is a new baby elephant and she is SO cute. The whole time she was playing with her toys as the mama elephant was standing over her watching her play and helping her when she needed it. It is so interesting watching a mother animal acting the same was towards her baby that we do as people.


Another part we always love is the gorilla's. Talk about human-like behavior. It's almost creepy.

I thought taking a picture of one 2 yr old was hard, two 2 yr old's is much harder!



To add to it, Grandma bought us a year pass so we can go back any time we want! Thank you, thank you for a fun afternoon Grandma Carol!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

We had lots of fun dressing up for Halloween this year. Jaxson LOVES "pie-rick's" and was really excited to wear his costume. Danny and I copied him and made it our family theme. Arrrrr!

Before going trick-or-treating Jax went to visit the G & G Theurer and he got a special treat.

Then we went down to Draper to see Grandma D and Grandpa Bailey. They were "pie-rick's" too! My mom made their costumes. Didn't she do AWESOME?!

Cousins. Kash was a frog but refused to wear his little hat. It is so fun that Kash and Jax are only a few months apart.



After trick-or-treating all the kids were freezing! Jax was warming his little bum by the fire.

We had our friends, the Armstrongs, come along with us and we had a blast. I just realized we didn't get a group picture! Dang! They sure were troopers trekking through the cold having just moved here from California. Thanks for coming guys! It was a fun night!

How Cute are Brett and Nadine??!!

Our friends Brett and Nadine Williams are so great. They live in Canada and really wanted to "bring" our family dinner since I had surgery. The other day they let us know over the phone that were going to call some dinner in for us, and all we needed to do was just to pick it up. They got us SO MUCH FOOD!


Thanks you guys for thinking of us! It was such a thoughtful/yummy idea. We love and miss you guys!
