Monster Jam 2011!!

I made the mistake of telling Jax we had tickets to Monster Jam about a week before the actual event. He asked me continually when it was and how many days and every person that came to the door he asked if they were bring us our tickets. Nedless to say, he was quite excited.

I think pictures sum it up and there isn't much need for text. We had a great night of loud trucks, back flipping snowmobiles, jet engine altered four wheelers, churros, and people watching. Let's just say a whole different group of people come out when Monster Jam is in town!!

Crown Council's Annual Event 2011

Danny is a member of a group called Crown Council. Their annual event this year was in Phoenix, Arizona at the Builtmore Resort.

We heard so many great speakers. This is Neal Jeffery. He used to be a NFL quarterback and has an amazing story. He has a stutter and his life-long challenge of overcoming that obstacle in his life, and becoming a public speaker no less, is so inspiring.

THIS lady was HILARIOUS! She used to be Mrs. America and has now found a nitch in comedy. She went on tour with Blue Collar Comedy and is just so funny. Her name is Jeanne Robertson.

Jared is so stylish.

Between all the classes we found time to throw in some fun. We shopped, ate great food, relaxed in the hot tub, had a formal 20's dinner and dance party, and made lots of memories.

We had a great time and are really excited for next years Annual Event in LasVegas!!

We went mini golfing. It was Jaxson's first time going. He thought it was really fun, but mostly enjoyed hitting the ball into the hole of the group in front of us, or hitting their balls instead of his own. It was...interesting.

Mike and Hillary got a babysitter and we drove down to Las Vegas.

We watched the Jabbawockeez preform. It was amazing. You know how sometimes you go to a concert and by the end you are ready for it to be done? Well this was not that way, I could have watched them for hours longer. It was really cool.

We went to a really yummy dinner at the Paris hotel, Mon Ami Gabi. And also spent a little time at the mall where a little Bebe fashion show was going on. What a fun little get away!

We also got in a little sunset hike.

Jax had fun being with other boys his age and they were troopers letting him tag along. Thanks Redd's!! We can't wait to come back!

Christmas!!

Do you buy Christmas pajamas that look Christmas-y? I can't ever get myself to do it. We give Jax christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve so if they have a big fat santa on them I feel like he can't wear them after Christmas day...Anyhow, this is Jax in his Chrismas jammies.

and me in my new pajamas too! I didn't know danny got me some and they are my FAVORITE pants ever...I am always wearing his pants and killing the hem because I walk on them so he got me the Victoria's Secret Boyfriend fit pants. SO comfy. You should get some (if you are a girl).

Jax and his buddy. I am so thankful for this dog. Seriously...sounds weird, but she is Jaxson's entertainment all the time when I am busy. They follow each other everywhere. Although I find myself saying multiple times a day, "Don't ______ Shorty!" (fill in blank with hit, pull on, run over, smash into, punch, drive cars on, throw stuff at, the list goes on...) Jax loves her too.

We made Santa Jaxsons favorite cookies and set them on a plate with some milk by the christmas tree. After a minute of staring at it Jaxson said in his I'm-trying-to-sound-sweet-and-convince-you-of-something voice, "I'm sure Santa would let me have some of his milk!...". Sure Jax, Santa likes to share. :) It was pretty cute.

Rob got Jax a McQueen monster truck. Can't beat that!

It was I think 55 degrees on Christmas Day. SO crazy. We got to play outside with Kash's new tractor that is just like Grandma's!

Putting Up the Tree!

This is the first year Jax has been involved in decorating the tree. I didn't like the idea of a 2 yr old into everything and breaking bulbs every 2 seconds.

It was fun watching him decide where each ornament should go. He was actually much more careful and thoughtful about the whole thing than I thought he would be.
