Graduation Vacation!!

Danny and I just got back from our first vacation alone together (since we've been parents). It was SO FUN!!

We decided to drive to save some money, but hit the 4th of July traffic leaving Las Vegas and the drive ended up taking 4 hours longer than planned.

But when we got to our hotel in San Diego, our spirits were lifted. Can you believe that view?!

I could have just stood out there all day and watched the boats come and go. But...

We had a cruise to go on!!! We went on the 5 day Baja Mexico cruise, which stopped in Cabo and Ensanda Mexico and two days at sea.

Danny pretending to be Jaxson.

I admit, I spent the first day of our trip like this (checking on Jax), but once the boat started moving I put my phone in our room , realized Jax was in very capable hands, and made myself relax.

It was fun to get into our room after dinner and find a new little friend. The first night it was a seal.

Then a dog (Danny still says it was a pig)

an elephant

a monkey

and a lobster!

We had so much fun just being together.

This is the only picture that we got on formal night that was somewhat okay, and it is blurry! Oh well, you get the idea.

This is in Cabo. Our boat driver hardly spoke English and he called the pelicans, "Mexican Chicken" It was so funny.

We spent the day in Cabo with the people we met from our dinner table. Since there were 6 of us, we got a great deal on a boat for the day with our own driver. For $12 per person, we went on a 45 min. tour of Cabo in a glass bottom boat, then he dropped us off at Lovers Beach, picked us up at a set time and took us to another beach, then picked us up again and took us back to the ship. We did Cabo right for sure, it was the BEST!

On our tour, that arch is on Lover's Beach. One of the famous spots in Cabo.

Before we got off the boat the driver told us not to swim on the Pacific Ocean side of Lover's Beach because the waves are too big... They are such good listeners.

The calm side of Lover's Beach. It was so beautiful!

Jen and I poofing our cute humidity and ocean water tossed hair.

Oh baby.

We ate lunch at a resort on the beach, and since we ate there they let us use their facilities for the rest of the day. We got to relax under the cabanas, it was amazing.

Sushi buffet. Yum.

Our dinner table. It is so funny how by the end of the trip we all became really great friends. We are already planning a reunion trip to Cabo!

One night Danny busted out some Guns N Roses in the Karaoke bar.

Midnight Buffet

We got quite a bit of sun. It was so nice being able to lay out and not have to worry about a kid jumping into the pool, or running off the side of the boat.

Then we got to Ensanada. There isn't as much to do there, so in the morning we did some sight seeing and shopping!

Danny found a long lost brother.

And then we went on a Kayaking excursion to the blow hole, Bufadora. They told us that if we didn't have a waterproof camera we shouldn't bring it, but we totally could have. We missed out on some great pictures. We were out on the open ocean kayaking over the big waves. It was SO FUN! Then we got to see the blowhole from the water and got about 20 ft. away from it. It was awesome!

This is a picture I found online of the blowhole from the top. You can imagine what it would look like from below! It was even better!

The bus ride back to the ship.

We had so much fun together, but it is fun being home with Jaxson. Danny starts work tomorrow and life will begin! Thanks for letting me in on your graduation present babe!

I remember you telling me about this cruise back in SF when I was at your house after you and Danny just came back from a date with Craig. It was boards weekend. Doesn't that seem like a lifetime ago? So, so, so glad you had fun. I LOVE cruises!
