Merry Christmas!

We sure had a good time in Utah over Danny's Christmas break. It was also quite an adventure. Starting off with the drive. It was snowing as we drove over the pass so we had to chain up, and 6 hours later we made it to Reno. Then the second part of the drive the next day it was snowing the whole time...we made it to Utah 10 hours later.


On the way to Utah we were driving and there were big flocks of birds in the road eating the salt they put on the road and usually they would fly away before we got to them. One flock though must have really wanted that salt, because they didn't fly away until the last second. I saw it coming and screamed and covered my face as we drove through about 50 birds, hearing 3 thud against the windshield. We thought they all got away until we arrived in Utah to find 2 stuck to our bumper. Gross.




Jax only had one experience in the snow, not because there wasn't any, but because he HATED it! We forgot to buy him gloves, so I put him in the snow hoping he would just try to tromp through it in his new snow boots. But instead of walking into it, he fell forward bare hands first into the snow. After that he would look out the window every day at the snow and say, "No! Burrrrr".

Christmas Eve is a big deal at the Theurer's. Along with a huge yummy dinner, Danny's mom prepares a little program and gives us some gifts that have to do with the theme. This year the theme was "Believe". She gave us copies of all the grandparents testimonies and some bells and a robe like the boy in Polar Express. It's so special every year.

Then we went to my parents house and Jax and Brooklyn had fun in their matching Christmas p.j.'s.



I left my camera unattended again and ended up with about 50 pictures that all looked about like these next few.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

He LOVES his bike.


And he got a ton of cars. His new obsession. Every time we are outside he points out all the cars to me, "car car". He always says everything twice, so funny.

Danny got a Kettle Bell among other things, and I think he really liked it.

We probably could have just gotten Jax a box of apples and he would have been happy. He will spend an hour eating one whole.

My sister got Rockband. It was really fun playing it with the whole family. Danny even mastered vocals and guitar at the same time.

DJ and Kash. He's such a good daddy.

I can't even tell you how much fun Jax had with his cousins. We are all excited to move back to Utah so we can spend more time with them.

We also got a Wii and Wii Fit. It is so fun! Danny was teaching my dad how to golf.

More Playing with Cousins

Even though we were sick a lot of the time we still had a great Christmas and New Year. It's so weird to think that next year we will be in Utah in our own house and Danny will be graduated... weird.
